A guard calls off.Cora finds the replacement. You approve it in one tap.

Call-off recovery for California security companies with 30 to 150 guards. Cora texts your qualified, available guards until one says yes, and shows you every step. Your guards never install an app.

One call-off, from the first text to a covered post.

Rings show the order Cora asks guards, not where they are.

Dre to Cora
Sick tonight, can’t make my 6am at Northgate. Sorry.
Cora to Dre
Cora: Calloff received for Northgate Gate 2, Thu, Oct 8, 6:00 AM. Replacement search in progress.
  1. Dre texts that he can’t make it.

He says it in his own words. Cora understands it is a call-off, finds his 6:00 AM shift at Northgate Gate 2 and opens a case.

  2. Every active guard is checked.

14 guards. 8 can take the shift. 6 cannot, and the reason for each one is written down.

  3. Offers go out 5 guards at a time.

If nobody in the first group says yes, the next group is asked. Nobody gets a 2 AM group blast. You get a text that recovery has started.

  4. Luis says yes.

Nobody in the first group said yes, so at 2:37 AM Cora asked the next 3. Cora checks Luis’s guard card and schedule a second time and tells him his yes is with you. No more offers go out while you decide.

  5. You approve in one tap.

Cora texts you who, where and when, the projected hours, and whether the fill means overtime. Reply APPROVE, or approve on the card in Tonight, confirm, and you have 10 seconds to undo.

  6. The post is covered.

Luis is confirmed and gets his shift details, you get a confirmation, and the whole case is saved, message by message.

A sample case. Names, site and times are illustrative.

In this sample case the post was open for thirty-nine minutes, and you spent one tap on it. Every step is on the record.

Luis M. takes Dre W.’s 6:00 AM shift at Northgate Gate 2.

You stay in charge.

In supervised mode, Cora never fills a shift on her own. She finds the guard and you approve. In autonomous mode, Cora fills the shift and tells you. You can assign someone yourself, take over a case, or pause Cora for the whole company.

Pausing stops new offers and hands every open case to you; call-offs and late notices are still recorded. Take over any case and Cora stops texting for it; hand it back when you want. Only an owner switches modes, and a case keeps the mode it started in.

  1. Cora finds a guard who passes every check.
  2. You approve the fill, with one tap or a text reply.
  3. The guard is confirmed only after you approve.

Cora will not do any of these without you

  • Tell a guard they can leave a shift early
  • Tell a guard they have to stay
  • Extend anyone’s shift
  • Change anyone’s employment status
  • Contact your clients
  • Offer a shift to a guard who fails a check

Pick a guard. See what Cora checks before offering a shift.

Overtime is a warning, never a block. Cora tells you when a fill is likely to mean overtime, and the decision stays with you.

Offered
  1. Has agreed to receive texts
  2. Allowed at this site
  3. No overlapping shift, and time to travel between sites
  4. No approved time off
  5. Available at this time of day
  6. Guard card and site certifications are current

Luis passes every check, so Cora offers him the shift.

Not a back-office suite.

CoverageOps does three things: the schedule, certification tracking, and call-off recovery. Cora needs the first two to do the third. Your roster and schedule are brought in once, with you, at the start.

Built by someone who works the shifts.

I was on a shift when the guard scheduled to work with me called off. I watched our operations manager go down a list, calling one guard after another, trying to find someone to cover. That was the only tool there was. I built CoverageOps so the next call-off starts getting solved the moment the text comes in.

I still work security shifts. I’ve stood the post, and I’ve seen what a call-off does to the person who has to fix it.

The company is new, and I’m one person. If you join the pilot, you’re one of my first three customers. I set up your roster, your schedule, your sites and your guard opt-in myself, and for 60 days you approve every fill. When something goes wrong, you call me.
