CoverageOps

SMS Consent

CoverageOps is a workforce platform used by security companies to coordinate shift coverage with their guards. This page explains exactly how SMS messaging works on the platform, how you were enrolled, and how to opt out at any time.

Section 1

How you were enrolled

You were enrolled in CoverageOps SMS messaging by your employer — the security company that hired or contracted you. When your employer added your name and mobile number to CoverageOps, the platform sent you a consent-request text asking you to reply YES to confirm or STOP to decline.

If you replied YES, you are enrolled. If you did not reply YES, you will not receive any further operational SMS from CoverageOps for that employer.

Consent flow

What the consent flow looks like

Three pieces of the actual flow: the SMS your employer's dispatcher triggers, the dashboard step where they record your consent, and the confirmation exchange once you reply YES.

The employer name shown below (“Acme Security Inc”) is an illustrative example. In your actual messages you will see your real employer's name.

Once you reply YES you receive a single confirmation message and enrollment begins. Reply STOP at any time to end enrollment immediately.

Section 2

What you'll receive

Once enrolled, CoverageOps may send you operational SMS messages related to your work, including:

  • Shift offers — when your employer needs coverage
  • Schedule updates and confirmations
  • Clock-in and clock-out reminders
  • Certification expiration reminders
  • Operational alerts (incident, weather, missed checkpoint)

You will never receive marketing SMS through CoverageOps. The platform exists to coordinate live operations between you and your employer.

Section 3

Message frequency

Frequency varies based on your schedule and your employer's operations. A typical active guard receives between five and thirty messages per month. Periods of high coverage demand (storms, holidays, callouts) may produce more; quiet weeks may produce none.

Section 4

How to opt out — STOP

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any CoverageOps SMS. Opt-outs are processed immediately. After replying STOP you will receive a single confirmation message and then no further operational SMS from CoverageOps.

To opt back in later, contact your employer's dispatcher — they can re-enroll you and a new consent-request SMS will be sent.

Section 5

HELP keyword

Reply HELP to any CoverageOps SMS for assistance information. For account-level questions contact your supervisor, or email support@coverageops.co.

Section 6

Messaging and data rates

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply. CoverageOps does not charge a fee for SMS, but your carrier's regular plan rates apply to every message sent or received.
